A Local Teacher Winner of a Woman of Achievement Award
A local school teacher is the proud recipient of a Woman of Achievement Award.
The Winifred K. Voyt Education Award winner is Christy Wilson a 6th grade teacher at Roosevelt Middle School.
"I’m very honored to receive the education award and I’m appreciative to my nominators."
"I love to give back to my community and I really enjoy working with 6th grade students at Roosevelt as I have over many years."
She says it means a lot that someone thought she was doing something worthy enough to be nominated.
"I’m just the type of person when someone asks me to do something I feel if I’m able to do it, I say yes."
The Woman of Achievement Award banquet is next Wednesday April 21st at OUZ Zane State Campus Center.
