Driver Flees After Hitting Gas Line
Authorities are on the search for a driver who wrecked their car in Harrison Township and then fled on foot.
According to the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol, around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday near 750 Fattler Ridge Road, a Ford Ranger pick-up truck swerved off the right side of the road, went back onto the road and off the left side of a roadway striking trees and a gas line.
The driver of the vehicle fled on foot. A passenger was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital with a cut on the back of their head.
Troopers say alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash. It is still under investigation.
