Accident may cause Power Outages

A morning accident could spell problems for American Electric Customers in the Military Road area.

Zanesville Police says a van crashed into a power pole at the intersection of Military Road and Sandhurst minutes after 8 Wednesday morning.

Police say that there are lines down in the south lanes and the power pole is snapped in half.

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, State Patrol and Zanesville Fire Department are on the scene along with the ZPD. AEP has been called into to fix the pole.
