Suspect Admits to Home Invasion

A suspect pled guilty Monday for his part in a Zanesville home invasion.

33-year-old Ryan Viney of Zanesville pled guilty to one charge of first-degree-felony aggravated burglary with a gun specification and one change of possession of criminal tools in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

Viney was arrested after a February home invasion at 344 Linn Street.

Assistant Muskingum County Prosecutor Ron Welch says they recommend Viney serve nine years in prison.

Judge Kelly Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation. Viney remains in the Muskingum County Jail.
