Murder Suspect Arraigned

A Zanesville man charged with murder is arraigned Wednesday.

26-year-old Reese Bowers pleaded not guilty in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court in front of Judge Mark Fleegle.
 

Reese was indicted last week by a grand jury on two counts of murder with a firearm specification, one count each of voluntary manslaughter, having a weapon under disability,improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and one count of tampering with evidence.
 

Bowers is accused of fatally shooting 27-year-old Dajuan McKenzie on April 21 at the intersection of Ohio Street and Luck Avenue.
 

Bowers bond was continued at $1 million .

He’s being held in the Muskingum County Jail
