Saint Thomas Festival Ready for Opening Day

If you are at Gus Macker this weekend you might want to stop by the Saint Thomas Festival.

The parish begins their annual festival tomorrow which offers something to do for all ages.

Festival Committee member Jenifer Dittmar says, "Starts about 5 o’clock, thursday night, we consider our family night, so we’re going to have lots of food, we have children’s games on the inside, lots of those to be going. we also have a cake wheel, donations have been from our parishioners, we start entertainment tomorrow at 7. we have the band flashback, we have entertainment each night actually."

If you’re looking for a place to cool off, you can also come play bingo which Dittmar says is the main attraction…

"It’s a great time. we have a lot of people from outside the community that support our parish and our school. it’s really a lot of volunteers coming together. we start in January planning this. it comes from all kinds of people " says Dittmar.

The Saint Thomas Festival runs through Sunday. to attend, the event is free.
