Zanesville Police said a local woman could face charges of driving under in the influence.

Around 11:45 Sunday night Zanesville Police said that the 20-year-old driver went off the road, hit a culvert and continued driving.

Witnesses followed the driver of the Mercury Mystique and due to heavy damage from the vehicle it came to rest on Sheridan Street.

Zanesville Police Lt. Bill Shaw said that the woman was taken to Grant Medical Center with non life threatening injuries.

Alcohol is suspected in the crash and OVI charges could be pending along with under age drinking.
