OU Grad Fights for MTV Twitter Job
An Ohio University student, who just graduated with a journalism degree this June, is hoping to get a dream job with MTV.
Ryan Lytle is one of 20 candidates who are competing to become MTV’s first Twitter Jockey. It’s a position that pays a salary of $100,000 a year and hopes to branch out to MTV followers in a new way.
Lytle will take part in a number of Twitter-based challenges, starting July 7th through July 20th. It’s a competition that will narrow the chase down to 5 candidates, who will then compete in one final challenge in New York City on August 8th.
Lytle says it’s an exciting opportunity for him but a little nerve-wracking, considering he’s been promoting himself on the other side of the camera.
He appeared on the "Today Show" this morning to discuss the contest.
