Christ’s Table and Kroger’s Stuff the Truck Event

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Bringing the table to those in need.
Christ’s Table teamed up with Kroger to hold their Stuff the Truck event. Christ’s Table had a truck at the Kroger on Maple Avenue to fill with canned goods donated from the community. Kroger’s, Marti King, says it’s her passion to help out with Christ’s Table and is happy Kroger is collaborating with them.
“It’s our passion, and especially my passion to help Christ’s Table in any way we can. So getting close to the holidays this is our way to help give back to the community and do what we can because Christ’s Table, and Kroger, and my heart are all for the community and what we can do for them,” said King.
Once the truck is filled they will take the items back to Christ’s Table, unload, and restock their shelves. Executive Director of Christ’s Table, Keely Warden, says it has been busy and she has seen many people help stuff the truck.
“Yes, it’s been very busy, we just want to thank the customers that have come in and recognized the need of Christ’s Table and have gone out there and helped us out,” Warden said.
The Stuff the Truck event took place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
