Betty Elizabeth Davis, 1922-2018

Betty Elizabeth Davis, 95 of Zanesville, died 7:55 AM, Friday, November 16, 2018, at Adams Lane Care Center. She was born Tuesday, November 21, 1922, in Zanesville, the son daughter of William Rittenhouse and Phoebe (Grieves) Rittenhouse.

Betty was employed by Bethesda Hospital as a Housekeeper retiring following many years of service. She also volunteered for the Salvation Army’s Women’s Home League.

Betty is survived by three daughters; Barbara Caplinger, Donna Fink, who resided with her mother; and Molly Correllus all of Zanesville; fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her 1st Husband: Francis Jewell; her 2nd Husband; Emmett Davis; her son: Roger Jewell; one son-in-law: William Caplinger; one sister: Margaret Rittenhouse and five brothers: George, Franklin, Robert, Bill and Russell Rittenhouse
