A Pup for Fans of Ohio State

Barrett 2

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Fans of Ohio State will want to check out the Animal Shelter’s Pet of the Week.

This is Barrett, named after former OSU Quarterback JT Barrett. The 11-month old lab mix is described as being frisky, but has learned basic commands like how to sit and lay down. He’ll do well with a family that loves the outdoors.

“Labs love to play. They have a good disposition, great family dogs,” said Animal Shelter Executive Director Jody Murray. “They love to be outside running and playing. He could be housebroken and spend some time indoors as well.”

Barrett weighs in at 60lbs and will be available Saturday, December 14 during an adoption event at PetSmart. The event starts at Noon and he along with other animals will be available on a first come first serve basis.

The shelter is also preparing for their comedy night coming up on January 12.

“We encourage people to get their tickets early we sell out or at near capacity every year we’ve done this event. It’s great evening of food and entertainment,” said Murray.

The Comedy Night will take place at Bryan’s Place. Tickets can be purchased at the Animal Shelter.
