Animal Shelter Adoption Event

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – If you wanted to add some animal love to your family for this holiday season, the Animal Shelter Society had the opportunity for you.

The Animal Shelter Society hosted an animal adoption event at Pet Smart in Zanesville today from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The community was invited to find a new addition to their family. The Shelter had Barrett there to greet people as he was looking for his future family as well.

“He is a labrador mix. Needs room to run. Needs TLC and a loving home that will take him in,” said event coordinator, Katie Law.

Law said adoption events like this are so important to help these animals find a good home.

“A lot of pets that come to us come from different environments. Different situations, and if you can take a pet in and adopt it you’re giving back. And you know, being able to provide for them that they haven’t had before,” she said.
