Dobbins Christmas Lights Display

Xmas Lights Whiz Story

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Brightening the holiday season in the comfort of their home.

Michelle Dobbins is following the tradition in her family of the Dobbins Christmas Lights Display. She set up the lights all over her yard and home, and the community comes out to her home to see them. She even bakes cookies for everyone and Santa is there to see children as well. Michelle has been following this tradition for ten years now, and she started planning for this event back in November.

“Throughout the whole month of November, I’m out here getting the display hooked up and things put out,” said Dobbins.

Michelle says she was inspired to continue the tradition because she wants to encourage everyone to have a happy holidays.

“Well this is my tenth year of doing it. It’s to brighten spirits and others. This world we see today. There is a lot of hurt. People struggling this time of year. So I know the lives I’ve touched in the past, bringing people back out this year, some of the same families come out again. And anybody I can draw new to me this year I’m very blessed for,” she added.

Some of the lights used are Christmas lights Michelle has had in her family for fifty years.
