EPA Investigates Foam Near Norwich

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is in Muskingum County Friday investigating the formation of foam. It has happened for the second time along I-70 near the Norwich Exit. Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency Director Jeff Jadwin says officials from the EPA are working with the landowner where the foam is originating by a creek. Jadwin say there has been no negative environmental impact as a result of the foam. Jadwin says the foam is likely being caused by an ingredient used in making soap, but they don’t know how it got there. It is not dangerous, according to Jadwin. The incident remains under investigation.
