New Year’s Eve at The Barn

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – One local restaurant has plenty planned for New Year’s Eve.

Owner of The Barn Jim Watson said they will be counting down to the new year with food specials, along with a DJ. Watson said they will be serving the traditional pork and sauerkraut meal so 2019 can start the year off with a little luck. He said they will be having drink specials as well, but reminds everyone to have a safe way home if they plan on drinking.

“Hopefully everybody has a nice safe New Year’s,” said Watson. “We’ve got our driver available to drive people home as well as Lyft will be here in town to make sure that everybody gets home safe and can start out 2019 on a safe note.”

Watson also said on New Year’s Day they will be cheering on the Buckeyes as they take on Washington State at the Rose Bowl. He said it will be a fun day of football and that the atmosphere is always festive.

“It’s like being at the stadium,” said Watson. “Here at The Barn everybody’s cheering and you hear the oohs and the ahs and you can really follow the game based on the sound and it’s a lot of fun, it’s a great festive atmosphere.”
