ZAAP Gallery New Member Show

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Tomorrow might be the First Friday Art Walk, but you have all month of January to view the art works of the new members of ZAAP Gallery.
ZAAP, or Zanesville Appalachian Art Project, is featuring the art pieces of the new members for their January Show. This gives the artists the opportunity to showcase their artwork, as well as introduce themselves to the art community. One member, Carole Jordan, draws remarkable figure drawings; and she said she creates so many pieces she enjoys showing them to the community.
“One accumulates, is the thing. And so I have probably that many more at home that I just look at, and I rotate around the house and I enjoy looking at them. And then there comes a time when you just think, you know, this is too much. So it’s nice just to have a place to share them with people,” Jordan said.
Membership to ZAAP is open to any artists, craft persons, and students who are interested in becoming active with the gallery and their mission.
“The members volunteer to gallery sit. And we just get to look at it, dust it off once in a while, and enjoy it,” Jordan added.
To view the work of the new members, ZAAP Gallery is open Thursday to Sunday, and will also be open for the Art Walk on Friday, January 4th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
