ZPD Cruiser Involved in Accident on Sharon Ave

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A Zanesville police cruiser was involved in an accident on Sharon ave Friday afternoon.

Sergeant Jarred Miracle said the officer was responding to a call when he was involved in the two-vehicle crash. Sergeant Miracle said a few cars had locked up their brakes when the crash occurred. He said that there were no major injuries and that no one was taken to the hospital. Sergeant Miracle said the police vehicle did have to be towed from the scene to their impound lot, but that the other SUV involved was able to drive away. He said they are not able to release names as the accident is still under investigation.
