Pet of the Week: Isabella

Isabella

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Animal Shelter Society is introducing another furry friend looking for a forever home.

Isabella was brought to the animal shelter two months ago as an owner surrender cat. Her owner was having some health problems and was no longer able to take care of her. She is six years old, very vocal, and always curious. Isabella is also declawed, up to date on her shots, and makes for a wonderful indoor pet.

“I think would make somebody a wonderful cat, an indoor cat, because she is already declawed. And as you can see, if you wanted some company in the morning, you would have a nice, little companion to talk with. Gets along with other animals, just does very well,” said Executive Director of the Animal Shelter Society, Jody Murray.

The Animal Shelter Society is also reminding everyone their Yappy Hour event takes place on March 7th. Yappy Hour will be at the Zanesville Country Club, and is a great way to support the animal shelter, enjoy an evening of drinks, and take part in an auction.

“Fun evening where we have several chefs there with some wonderful finger foods and some refreshments. We will have a small auction there, and it is one of our major fundraisers of the year,” Murray said.

Isabella’s adoption fee is sixty dollars, and to find more information on how to adopt her just the contact the animal shelter.
