Downtown Business: VinAmi

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Spending time with family and friends while drinking wine and enjoying tapas is what VinAmi is all about.

The wine bar and bistro restaurant opened last September at 333 Market Street in downtown Zanesville. Co-Owner Mike Ryan said since opening day they have been doing very well and people are really enjoying the style and setup of it all.

“They like our style, where the tables are a little bit spread out and they’re not rushed through a meal,” Ryan said. “They can come sit down with their friends for several hours if they’d like. We’re constantly having tables squeezed together so large groups of 6,8,12 people can enjoy the time together.”

Ryan said being a restaurant in the downtown area has its perks because people will visit before going to an event or to get an appetizer before and after dinner.

“It’s very exciting. It’s met and exceeded all of our expectations. The reviews we’re getting, the feedback from the customers is positive and it just encourages us to do more events and to just be a bigger part of the downtown Zanesville area and to bring more businesses to the area,” Ryan said.

They do host themed events throughout the year, like a murder mystery or cupcake pairing. VinAmi is open Wednesday through Saturday and for a look at upcoming events you can head to their website.
