USPS Informed Delivery Service

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – United States Postal Service is offering a service featuring a digital look at your incoming mail.
Informed Delivery allows people to view a black and white image of the exterior, not the inside contents, of their mail expected to be delivered. It is convenient for users to view what is coming to their mailbox all by checking on an app. Informed Delivery displays mail images for a seven day period.
“Well people want to be informed. And so there’s the hustle and bustle, there’s the blended families, there’s both people that work. And who doesn’t want to be informed on that special item that’s coming in your mail?” said USPS Marketing Manager, Alisa Zanetti.
With the Informed Delivery Service, many are able to check the delivery status of their packages. Users may even leave delivery instructions if they are not able to accept a package due to their absence from home.
“You can leave delivery instructions for your letter carrier. You can actually click on the app, and you can say leave my package behind the brick wall versus your front door. And so we want to make sure we provide excellent service for our customers even where to leave your package,” Zanetti added.
To sign up for the Informed Delivery service, visit usps.com and you will need to enter your address to determine if it is eligible for the free service, and you will need to verify your identity as well.
