Soroptimists International Raising Awareness

A group that is working to improve the lives of women and girls gets together to do some brainstorming.

Soroptimists International held their district meeting Saturday at Bryan’s Place in Zanesville. The group works to raise awareness about women’s issues.

"Our newest project is going to be awareness of teen violence and talking about how interactions and how getting goals oriented early will help maybe eradicate the whole problem," says Linda White, president of Soroptimists International of Zanesville.

Professional and business women from Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin attended Saturdays’ meeting.
