Pet of the Week: Repeat

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Animal Shelter Society is introducing the purr..fect addition to your family.

Repeat is an eleven week old, neutered male kitten. He only weighs two pounds and has beautiful orange and white fur. Repeat is up to date on all his shots, and his adoption fee is $70. He came from a foster home so he is very social, he gets along with other animals, and loves to be around people.

“Very well around other animals, very social, loves kids. Very lovable,” said Assistant Director of the Animal Shelter Society, Russell Denny.

On Saturday, March 23rd at 10 a.m., City Tire Pros. is sponsoring the third annual Dog ‘N’ Jog 5K run and walk at Zane State College. To celebrate Zane State College’s 50th Anniversary, the first 125 dogs that are registered will receive a bandana with the Zane State College’s logo. Participants are encouraged to bring their furry pals, and support animals looking for their forever home. The proceeds from the event benefit the Animal Shelter Society.

“One of our things that we hope to do at Zane State College in our clubs is to do a community service event. And that’s really where this started. And since they are our neighbors, right across State Route 146, we decided to have them ultimately be the group that receives our proceeds,” said Physical Therapist Program Director at Zane State College, Lori Wahl.

Registration for the 5K can be made online, the cost is $30. The Animal Shelter is also having a St. Patrick’s Day special tomorrow, March 16th, where cat adoption fees will be $17 off their regular pricing.
