WEST MUSKINGUM, Ohio – Get ready for a fun night filled with  “Ooos” and “Ahhs” later on this month, as the Muskingum Youth League will host the Harlem Wizards Basketball team.

This family friendly event will take place Saturday, March 30, at West Muskingum High School at 6:00 P.M. Though the basketball game is still ten days away, Wizards player David Paul visited the West Muskingum elementary and middle schools today. In hopes of getting the kids pumped up for the big game. Paul humored the crowd with fun jokes, and had the kids all excited, even teaching one student some new tricks. Paul said it will be a great night full of great entertainment.

“Absolutely, well there’s gonna be a lot of trick hoops, and alley-oops. Lots of slam dunks, some music, some dancing. It’s gonna be a big old party, I’m telling you, you don’t want to miss out,” Paul said.

Paul said they have four separate teams that travel across the country. The players on the team all played at elite levels. The president of West Muskingum Youth League, Erin Serdy said the Wizards opponents will be the Twisted Tornadoes. A team made up of West Muskingum principals, teachers, coaches, and more. Serdy said the money raised goes to the Muskingum Youth League.

“So anything that is raised from this can be used for sports equipment, field maintenance, participation fees potentially being lowered. Just anything that can go to benefit our young athletes and building our sports programs here at West Muskingum,” said Serdy.

Courtside tickets are already sold out. However, general admission tickets are $10 before the game or $12 at the door.
