Newest Sub Shop in Town

A one-of-a-kind sub shop is announcing its grand opening.

Jacob and Lisa Smith have always dreamed of owning their own restaurant, and Monday after a ribbon-cutting, it all became a reality. The newest sub shop in town is called Sojourner’s Baked Subs.

"I’ve wanted to own my own restaurant since I was 16," says Jacob. Lisa says, "I’ve worked in restaurants too pretty much since I was in college so I was able to lend a helping hand too." 

The shop offers many fresh choices. Everything is made from scratch.

"What makes our sub shop a lot different from others is we make all the bread every day. We make all the soups from scratch, even the noodles that are in the chicken noodle and vegetable soup. We do all our dressings from scratch with olive oil," says Jacob Smith.

Sojourner’s is located off of Maple avenue next to Pugh’s Jewelers. Zanesville Mayor Butch Zwelling says that this marks the 16th ribbon-cutting in 15 months for Zanesville.
