Multiple law enforcement agencies took part in a drug bust in New Lexington Thursday.

According to Sgt. Kevin Starrett with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff’s deputies, agents with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force, and the New Lexington and Crooksville Police Departments, executed a search warrant at 195 East Union Street.

57-year-old John Clark is currently being held at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail in connection with the bust. 57-year-old Ellen Norman was arrested and later released.

Authorities were investigating the distribution of marijuana and prescription pills. Starrett says officers seized an undisclosed amount of marijuana and currency from the residence.
