Nashport Man’s Death Investigated

The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a Nashport man at a work site. Sheriff Mike McCauley says it happened Tuesday off Crab Orchard Road around 9:30 in the evening. The victim is identified as 56-year-old Michael McCune. He was found face down in a hole he had dug to repair a leaking gas line. The Sheriff says co-workers found the victim and called for help. An autopsy has been ordered. Sheriff McCauley says foul play is not suspected in this incident.
