Person Of Interest Found/Shoots Self

The Licking County Sheriff’s Office says they have found a person of interest in the murder of a St. Louisville woman. Deputies report that around 4:00 am Tuesday when they approached 43-year-old Philip Mascari of Columbus while he was sitting in his car he shot himself in the head.  The shooting happened in a remote area of VanFossen Road, west of State Route 657 in Columbus.  Monday night deputies were called to 419 South Main Street in St. Louisville and found Katherine Russ dead. Officials believed at the time it was a homicide. Mascari is in critical condition at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
