New Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church

Excited to be back in the heart of Buckeye Country is what the new pastor at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church wrote and he is even more excited to return to Trinity.

14 years ago Pastor Mark Matzke completed an internship at the church. He served at two other churches before being called back to serve as pastor.

"I love it it’s just an amazing thing to me – when you’re here as a vicar or an intern you never really think you will come back as a pastor" said Pastor Matzke.

Matzke went through the rite of installation in front of a large crowd. President Elect/ Head Elder Steve Carrel thought there was 200 people there and says there is between 800 and 1,000 in the congregation.

Pastor Matzke wants to make future plans for the church with the congregation rather than on his own. He wants them to be a team.

"This is probably the biggest congregation I have been involved with and I look forward to all the possibilities that do along with that " said Matzke.

Some of those possibilities include helping families with small children, and assisting senior adults who are alone.  He feels there is no limit to the things people need.

Regular church services are held Sundays at 8:00am and 10:30am.
