Retired Zanesville City Teacher Receives Honor
A retired Zanesville City School teacher is now artist of the month. Susan Stubbins was selected for the honor. She works with mixed media like paint and paper.
"Once I retired I was able to start focusing on my own art. So I have been. I am still experimenting and having fun" said Stubbins.
Her new art is inspired by her 3 week trip to Alaska. The circles used in her work represent balance and items in nature like the moon and sun. This art will be part of Friday’s Art Walk in Zanesville City.
"People from their own experiences from the work and I do not really focus on what somebody else is going to take from it. I am always amazed and pleased at some of the things people come up with" said Stubbins.
Her images are located at Studio 202 next to Zak’s Restaurant. For more information visit: www.susans202.com.
