Restore the Youth
A special event called " The Restoration" was started 4 years ago and will take place again this year. This year’s topic is repairing the roots. It is hosted at Secrest Auditorium and is designed for students 6th grade through college. Monday Youth Pastor Adam King went to the Muskingum County Commissioners to discuss it. The event will include guest speakers, a parent session and five bands.
"It will change kids. Kids are vulnerable they are open to anything and that’s why they need to be given the right message because the right message can change them for the better," said Youth Pastor, Adam King.
King notes media saturation and the internet are impacting kids. Even the mall impacts kids with " Victoria showing all of her secrets".
"Our community needs help. Our community, our families, our young people, our schools. We need help there are a lot of different situations and circumstances out there that are hurting our community our kids. They are hazing, glazing, and raising them wrong," said King.
The event will be held April 15 and 16. You can purchase tickets at www.wearetherestoration.com. On February 14, tickets will be $10.00, February 15 – March 18 tickets are $15.00 and March 29- April 15 they are $20.00
