Goodwill to Host Annual Armed Forces Event

The Goodwill store on Maple Avenue in Zanesville will be hosting an event to recognize our troops fighting overseas.

The 2nd Annual Honoring Our Armed Forces Event will take place starting at 7 pm this coming Friday.

"There’s lots of activities, there’s 20 percent off purchase, there’s door prizes, we’re going to have a balloon launch, we’re going to start off with the National Anthem and a flag ceremony so it’s going to be a lot of fun," said Timmie, Tate, Goodwill Warehouse Supervisor.

Tate encourages those who have lost loved ones fighting overseas to come out.

"It’s our way of showing how much we honor what they did for us, and for all of us," said Tate.

The event is open to the public and runs until 10 pm Friday.
