Darlene R. Dobbins (October 1, 1945 – August 28, 2011)

HILLIS & HARDWICK FUNERAL HOME OBIT:

Darlene R. Dobbins, age 65. She was born on October 1st, 1945. Darlene went to be with the lord on Sunday, August 28th, 2011 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House following a brief
Illness.

She is survived by two sons, Larry L. Hostetler of Zanesville and Terry L. (Jill) Gough of Johnstown; two daughters, Sherri L. (Travis) Miller of Zanesville and Angela L. (Rick) Reed of Dresden. She is also survived by one brother, Edward (Dorothy) Nicely of Mogadore; She leaves behind four grandchildren, several nieces and nephew and very special family friends, John C. Newman, Russell E. Beach Jr. and her beloved Chihuahua, Pixie.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Draco D. Nicely and Freda M. Nicely, one brother, Donald L. Nicely Sr, a nephew, Rick L. Nicely.

Darlene devoted her life to being a mother and was an avid bingo player. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in her honor to the Animal Shelter Society, Inc. 1430 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.

Visitation will be held from 11am to 12 noon with funeral service to immediately follow at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home 935 Forest Ave. Zanesville. Burial will conclude in the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
