Gerald Dale Donaldson (November 8, 1934 – June 16, 2014)

Gerald Dale Donaldson,79 of Crooksville passed away on Monday June 16, 2014 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.
Gerald was born in Zanesville on November 8, 1934 to the late Lester and Edith Lanning Donaldson. He worked for several local Potteries including Watt, Hull, Diamond, and Crooksville China Co. He retired from Rockwell. Gerald was a member of Crooksville Eagles Aerie 1979, McCoy Pottery Collectors Association, and the Ohio Archeological Association. He was an avid collector of McCoy Pottery and local Indian Artifacts.
He is survived by three sons: John Keith (Brenda) Donaldson of New Albany, Ohio, Ralph Lee (Tammy) Donaldson and Lester Jay (Angela) Donaldson both of Crooksville, a daughter Janis (Michael) Buckley of Lancaster, a daughter-in-law Carla Roberts of Zanesville, a brother Jerry Donaldson of Adamsville, two sisters: Dorothy Davis of Cincinnati, and Velma Cope of Roseville, 14 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Gwen Moore Donaldson in 2005, a son Brian Eugene Donaldson in 2013, two brothers: Jack (Kathryn) Donaldson and Eugene (Muriel) Donaldson, three sisters: Marjorie (Bob) Bess, Ruth Ann (Pat) Russell, and Betty (Bernie) Ford, and a brothers-in-law Leslie Cope and Earl Davis.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8pm on Thursday June 19 and 12-2PM on Friday June 20 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 207 BURLEY STREET CROOKSVILLE. Funeral Services will be at 2pm on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery.
