Robert “Bob” Edwards (August 11, 2010 – October 21, 2010)

Robert “Bob” W. Edwards Jr., 60, of Fort Myers, FL. formerly of Zanesville, passed away at 7:50 am, Thursday October 21, 2010 at his Flordia home.

Bob was born in Zanesville the son of the late Robert W. and Bonita M. (Roberts) Edwards. Bob retired from Big Bear in 1997 where he worked as a manager, he was a 4-H advisor, a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the Duncan Falls United Methodist Church and he served his country in the US Army serving during Vietnam where he received the National Defense Service Metal, the Vietnam service and Campaign metals and he is a recipient of the Bronze Star.

He is survived by his wife Pamela (McKee) Edwards whom he married August 29, 1971, his two daughters Barbara Bitler of Zanesville and Michelle Barr of FL; and two honorable mention sons, Richard Barr and Danny Wilson; his grandchildren, Hunter Wilson, Nathinal, Samatha “Abby”, Alexander “Alex” and Cruize Bitler and Caden Barr; two additional grandchildren Tanner and Gage Wilson; his brothers Anthony “Kurt” (Jody) Grindley of Somerset, Arthur “Skip” (Charlene) Grindley of Zanesville and Jesse (Bev) Stouder of Zanesville; his sisters Christine Long of Gratiot, Margaret “Peg” (Fred) Newsom of Duncan Falls, Patricia (Brian) Balling of Zanesville, Diana (Mike) Rupe of South Zanesville, Avon (Kenny) Bogle of Zanesville, Kim Vick of NC, Kathy Tobias of Zanesville and Amber Cousans of PA.

Visitations will be 6 to 8 pm Sunday at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held 1 pm Monday with Pastor Sturman Moore Officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
