Charles Moore Cann (April 6, 1921 – October 22, 2010)

Charles Moore Cann 89 of Roseville, passed into Eternal Life with his Lord on Friday October 22, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born in Roseville on April 6, 1921 to Stuart W. Cann and Lois Moore Cann. He attended Roseville High School and retired as a carpenter from C.W. Taylor and Sons of Zanesville. He served in WWII, as a member of the famed 509 Parachute Infantry, Scout Company, serving in Africa, Sicily and Italy receiving the Purple Heart. He was a Roseville Volunteer Firefighter for 30 years serving for a time as Fire Chief. He is a life member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Roseville and the Roseville Post 71 of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Jean Swingle Cann whom he married on Nov. 1, 1945. two sisters Lindy Neff of Columbus and Kathryn Elish of East Chicago, IN. A special niece Christy Jean (John) Totten and their family Matt and Mike of Mount Perry. Several Nieces and Nephews, Tim, Steve, Jon, Cynthia, Nancy, Diane and Jim.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Eunice Burgess.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday October 30, 2010 at the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry Sutton officiating.
