Carl S. (Andy) Jacob (January 24, 1911 – April 3, 2011)

Carl S. “Andy” Jacob, 100, of Zanesville, passed away Sunday April 3, 2011 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

He was born January 24, 1911 in Zanesville the son of the late Gottleib P and Lena Schreiber Jacob. Andy was a retired Mould Engineer for Brockway Glass, a lifetime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, member of Golden Agers, sang in the church choir for 50 years, and was an avid bowler and golfer. He was an Army Veteran who served his country during WW II.

Andy is survived by his son: Dr. Jeffrey Jacob of South Bend, IN, granddaughters: Ana Jacob and Christina Jacob.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife: Marie Reusch Jacob and brothers: August, Harold and Walter and sisters: Tabba Fraunfelter, Edith Gaumer, Clara Louise Fitzgerald and Marie Fulton.

Graveside service for Andy will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday April 6, 2011 at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Mark Matzke officiating. There will be no calling hours.
