Barbara Jean Mosure (March 17, 2011 – November 30, 2011)

Barbara Jean Mosure, 80, of Zanesville, passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. She was born on March 17, 1931 in Logan, Ohio the daughter of the late McKinley Mauk and Pansy Oldfield Mauk.
A member of the Zanesville Coburn United Methodist Church, Barbara was an active member of Coburn United Methodist Women which is a part of the Women’s Division of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church. Barbara was an adult and youth church choir director for over 30 years . In 1992, she retired as a bookkeeper from Zanesville’s WHIZ Radio.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Roy Edward Mosure, whom she married on September 4, 1955. Also surviving is her daughter Dr. Debra Mosure; Sister Mary Ann Hartsock, Nephews; Michael A. Hartsock and Donald E. Mauk II and numerous extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Donald E. Mauk and brother-in-law, Homer Hartsock Jr.
The family is being served by the BRYAN & SNIDER FUNERAL HOME 2318 Maple Ave. where friends may call Friday, December 2, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be at Coburn United Methodist Church 3618 North Maple Ave. at 10 am on Saturday with visitation one hour prior to the service with Pastor Doris Flynn officiating. Graveside service will be held at 2pm at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.
