Shirley Eileen Norris Brock (March 10, 1925 – February 4, 2012)

Shirley Eileen Norris Brock, 86, of Zanesville, passed away at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital at 10:58 PM Saturday February 4, 2012.
She was born March 10, 1925 in Zanesville the daughter of the late John Howard and Lottie Mae Somers Norris. Shirley was a graduate of Lash High School Class of 1943, member of First Christian Church, Eastern Star Chapter 52 for 69 years and worked for many years in the basement of the Big Bear Store on 4th Street.
Shirley’s family was special to her and one of her greatest joys was spending time with her granddaughter, Chelsea. She also enjoyed decorating her home.
Surviving Shirley is her daughter: Terri (Ronald) Carpenter of Zanesville and granddaughter: Chelsea (Christoffer) Welen of Westerville, cousin: Juanita Williams, nieces and nephews: Karen Dyser, Kay Denbow, John Norris, Lee Anne Kayser, Sherry Colling and several other nieces and nephews by marriage.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband of 52 years Carl Brock Jr., brothers and sisters: John Howard “Toots” Norris, Pearl Jeanette Norris Brock and Joseph Russell Norris.
Visitation for Shirley will be 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday February 7, 2012 and 9:00 AM till time of service at 10:00 AM Wednesday February 8, 2012 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. with Pastor Dawn Remster officiating. Committal service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
