Edward Arthur Cramer age 70, lifetime resident of Zanesville, passed away at his home on Wednesday Feb. 08, 2012 from a courageous battle with lung cancer surrounded by his loving family, as God took him by the hand to take him home.

Edward was the beloved son of the late; J. E. (Doc) & Sibyl Cramer, born July 01, 1941 in Zanesville, Ed retired in 1994 as truck driver with 35 years of service with Putnam Transfer. His greatest passion was golfing with all his good old buddies so lovingly referred to; he was an avid bowler for 40 years, a loving husband, Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa. Ed never met a stranger; he was blessed with many friends through his life time and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Edward was a 32 degree Mason; member of the Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite, La Fayette Masonic Lodge No. 79, Amrou Grotto, VFW George Salem Post 1058, Eagles Aires No. 302 and the Teamsters Union Local 637; A Baptist of faith, member of the Fair Oaks Baptist Church.

Surviving Edward is his beloved wife of 28 years, Jan Kay (Shumate) Cramer, daughter, Terri L. Wolfe, of Zanesville, son Ty E. Cramer of Fallsburg, Ohio, brother, Roger E. (Thelma) Cramer, Father-in-law, Arthur (Jim) Shumate, grandson, Matthew (Melissa) Wolfe of Roseville, brother-in-laws, Craig (Marsha) Shumate, Charles E. Offinger, sister-in-laws, Kristie (John) Mills, Kathie (Allen) Milatovich and Jean Cramer, great-grandchildren, Case and Hank Smith, Hayden Wolfe and Cheyenne Wolfe and his best pal and beloved dog Tobbie, numerous nieces and nephews and his special buddy Dick Strouse.

Proceeding Ed was his parents, Mother-in-law Joan F. Shumate, sister Theresa K. Offinger and brother Bruce A. Cramer.

The family extends a special Thank You to his Hospice caregivers and Dr. Douglas Myers.

There will be no funeral services; The BRYAN & SNIDER FUNERAL HOME has arranged a loving cremation with a private burial at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Shelter or a charity of your choice.
