John R. Humm (February 22, 1933 – December 15, 2013)

John Richard “Jack†Humm, 80, of Zanesville passed away on Sunday December 15, 2013 at his residence following a brief illness.
Jack was born in Omaha, Nebraska on February 22, 1933 to the late E.G. and Wilma Doak Humm. He graduated from Drake University and The Ohio State University. Jack was a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of Amrou Grotto, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Past President of Sertoma, and served as Zanesville City Councilman for 18 years. Jack served our country and protected our freedom as a Lt. Col. in The United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife Darlene E. Bierman Humm of the home, a son Michael R. Humm of Boardman, Ohio, a daughter Rhonda K. Humm of Zanesville, three brothers: Rodger D. Humm of Muncie, In., H. Larry Humm of Brockport, NY, and R. Mark Humm of Tarrytown, NY. Four Grandchildren: Zachary, Jacob, Joshua, and Lauren.

Calling hours will be 4-7pm on Wednesday December 18 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE, OHIO. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday in The Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Mark Matzke officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
