Leigh Douglas Montell (February 25, 1942 – December 26, 2013)

Leigh Douglas Mantell, 71, of Nashport, passed away at the Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center Thursday, December 26, 2013. Leigh was born February 25, 1942 in Whitensville, Massachusetts to the late Andrew and Leslie Margaret Tucker Mantell.
Leigh was employed by the Soil and Water Conservation District, a member of the St. James Episcopal Church, where he was a Chalis Bearer and belonged to the Altar Guild, Stewardship Committee, and the Pastoral Care Committee. He was also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and The Zanesville OAPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association). He was a graduate of The Ohio State University, Stockbridge School of Agriculture at University of Massachusetts.
He served our Country in the U.S. Army.
Leigh is survived by his loving wife Linda Cz Mantell, sons: Stephen (Maura) Mantell of Dresden and Matthew (Angee) Mantell of Medina, sisters: Marilyn Knebusch, Andrea “Sue†Riley, and Robin Kennedy and one granddaughter, Dagne.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brother-in-law William Knebusch.

Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY RD. Funeral services will be 11 am Monday at St. James Episcopal Church 155 N. 6th Street Zanesville, Ohio with The Rev. Robert Willmann officiating.
