ZANESVILLE

She was raised in East Fultonham and Crooksville where she graduated in 1945 with honors. Ruth played her flute in the high school marching band for 5 years. The 1945 graduating class was the only class in Crooksville which did not get to have a high school year book because the paper was needed for the WWII war time.
In 1945 she fell in love with Bill Alexander of Crooksville and were married in 1947 for 63 years. They had two sons Joe Alexander and David Alexander and a daughter Randi Alexander. Ruth and husband Bill enjoyed taking rides on streets and in the country. They were able to visit Germany and Hawaii because that is where their son Joe and wife Pam were stationed.
Ruth worked as the secretary for the Superintendent of Schools for Crooksville School District, Ohio Power Co., Watt Pottery, Nelson McCoy Pottery and Friendship Pottery as their bookkeepers and accountants. She also was employed at Heinrich Paper Co.
Ruth love serving the Lord Jesus Christ, singing and directing the choirs at New Hope Church and Faith Center. Later she and husband became members at Coburn United Methodist Church. Ruth also was an avid reader, crossword puzzles, playing games on her computer, and did some water painting. But most of all, she loved being with her family, never being as happy as when she could be with them.
Ruth is survived by her son Joe (Pam) Alexander of Huntsville, AL and grandchildren Shannon (Erin) Nezbeth, John Alexander, and Brandyn (Casey) Ford. Five great grandchildren, Christian, Logan, Kenzie Nezbeth, and Kaitlyn and Mitchell Ford. Two brothers Vernon Fauley of Cincinnati, Maurice (Joan) Fauley of Wilmington.
