Patricia E. “Patty” Hayes (October 28, 1932 – May 29, 2014)

Patricia E. “Patty” Hayes, 81, of Zanesville, passed away Thursday May 29, 2014 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital ER.
She was born October 28, 1932 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Leo and Hilda Holzschuher Paul Sr. Patty retired as owner operator of Hilltop Florist in 2005. She loved gardening, fishing and watching antique tractor pulling. She was a member of Muskingum County Farm Bureau and Carlwick Grange.
Patty is survived by 6 children: Bill and Candie Hayes of Irvin, PA, Tim and Pam Hayes of Westerville, Patti and Keith Girton of Newcomerstown, Melanie and Mike Smith of Zanesville, Barb and Mike Sims of Zanesville and Holli and Dennis Baughman of Zanesville, 14 grandchildren: Heidi and Bryan Prentice, Drew and Mindy Hayes, TJ and April Hayes, Abby and Frank Hartage, Kyle and Nicole Girton, Brittani Girton, Jennifer and Heather Smith, Nicol and Kyle Addy, Jeremy and Virginia Clark, Brandi and Jessi Baughman, Kaylee and Cody Hayes, 8 great grandchildren: Paige and Kate Prentice, Frank, Charlie and Ben Hartage, Libby Hayes, Aurora Hayes and Katelyn Clark, brothers: Leo Paul Jr, Harold “Sonny” and Gayle Paul and Dean and Midred Dozier, sister-in-law: Bonnie Paul and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband: Charles “Chalk” Hayes who died Oct. 7, 2004, a son Rick Hayes, a brother: Don Paul and an infant sister: Dorothy Paul.
Friends may call 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 Sunday June 1, 2014 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave Zanesville. Funeral services will be Monday June 2, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Joe Di Vincenzo officiating followed entombment at Zanesville Memorial Park.
