Kathryn E. Berry, age 76, of Zanesville, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away July 1, 2014. Kathryn was born June 7, 1938, in Zanesville, daughter of the late William H., Sr. and Effie (Evans) Ball. She was a sweet, loving and caring woman. She enjoyed spending time with her family, vacationing, cooking, and supporting local charities. Because Kathryn had such a tremendous love for her family, she will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Kathryn was a Graduate of Zanesville High School in 1956. She began working at General Electric, later was a secretary at First United Methodist Church, and then was a business owner of Der Ver Ber Distributors for 29 years. She was a life-long member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, serving 35 years as altar guild member, and was a member of Jobe’s Daughters.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Derwood V. Berry; son, Bruce (Barbara) Berry; grandchildren, Patrick and Kaitlin; sister, Evelyn (Larry) Saben; brother, David (Jeanne) Ball; sister-in-law, Melanie (Gary) Weaver; and many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother William H. Ball, Jr.

Friends and family may call from 11:00-1:00 & 2:00-4:00 P.M. on Friday, July 4, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 116 North 7th Street, Zanesville, with calling one hour prior, with Vicar Amanda Highben officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
