James David “Dave†VanWey, 73, of Zanesville passed away at Adams Lane Care Center surrounded by his family Thursday, September 11, 2014. Dave was born June 9, 1941 in Redfield to the late Louis and Nancy VanWey Toth. Dave was previously employed by Economy Linen. He protected our freedom and served our country in the U.S. Navy.
Dave is survived by his wife Pearl Crain VanWey; sons: James (Jenifer) VanWey Jr. of Zanesville, Chad VanWey of Zanesville; a daughter, Heather (Richard) Riley of Roseville; brothers: Ed (Carolyn) Toth of Philo and Jeff Toth of Roseville; sisters: Cindy (Bob) Gorius of Zanesville and Judy Maxwell of Zanesville; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 207 BURLEY STREET, CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services will be at 1:00 at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Marc Caton. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.
