George Forrest Rose Jr. (august 26, 1925 January 1, 2016)

George Forrest Rose Jr., 90, of Zanesville, died at 2:36 P.M. Friday, January 1, 2016 at Genesis Hospital Zanesville. He was born August 26, 1925 in Richmond, VA to the late George F. and Virgie Cook Rose Sr. George worked at Dunzweiler and Tri-Y Construction before he became self-employed for 40 years at Rose Construction. He was in the Carpenters Union. George was faithful member of Norval Park Church of Christ, where he served as an Elder for 30 years, youth group leader and taught Sunday school.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda A. Reed (Gerald Guenther) of Dayton, Kelly D. (Richard) Pindel of Moore, OK and Lisa M. (Marcelino) Vega of Heath; four grandchildren, Christopher (Sara) Reed, Aaron McElwee, Shannan (David) Rife and Carly Pindel; three great grandchildren, Christian Smith, Ethan Reed and Natalie Reed; a great-great granddaughter, Miah Smith and a brother Lester “Pete” Rose of Hendersonville, NC

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Annabelle L. Rose, who died January 5, 2007, a son, John Terry Rose; brother, Sterling Dwayne Rose; two sisters, Virginia Thomas and Elizabeth “Mickey” Porché.

Friends and family may call from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE and on hour prior to the funeral services which will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Norval Park Church of Christ, 845 Arch Street, Zanesville, OH 43701 with Evangelists Keith Kress and Ron Owens officiating. George will be laid to rest beside his beloved Annabelle at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Graysville.
