250,000 Dollar Lotto Ticket Claimed

While the two winning tickets of the Mega Millions Jackpot were sold in Washington and Idaho, back here in Southeast Ohio, the small town of New Lexington had a big payout.

Jack Jones of New Lexington claimed his $250,000 dollar prize for matching the winning numbers 4-8-15-25-47. After taxes he will receive a check for $172,500. Jones used auto pick to select his numbers and only missed the Mega Ball.  He bought his ticket at  Woolfes Huff & Puff Mini Mart in New Lexington.

"This is our third Mega Million winner. We had two winning tickets in June, both for 250,000 dollars so this is our third one for 250,000 dollars, " says Debra Kane, owner of Woolfe’s Huff ‘N Puff Mini Mart.

The Mini Mart gets their own little chunk of change for selling the winning ticket, worth 1,000 dollars.

"We’ve made a lot of improvements lately. We got a new cash register system. We tore a big building down behind us with the last owner. About every couple years, we do something pretty major we consider pretty major, " says Kane

Kane says their store is notorious for selling winning lotto tickets not only for the Mega Millions jackpot, but also scratch off tickets as well.
