Doors Open to New Buffalo Wild Wings
67 televisions, over seventy new employees and plenty of wings.
The new Buffalo Wild Wings is open for business. After 10 years on Maple Avenue the ribbon was cut at their new location on Brandywine Boulevard. A crowd gathered outside to be one of the first 100 to get free wings for a year. Many camped out overnight for the event. Sunday, we talked to Austin Nichols and his friends. They said the new location lives up to the hype.
"There’s like a billion TV’s here," said Nichols. "I mean come on there’s like 16 TV’s right behind us. You can go to the restrooms and watch TV."
Margo Burton is used to camping out for Black Friday shopping, but she said this was worse since they spent fourteen hours in the freezing weather.
"I think it’s smaller, but it has a ton more TV’s in here. So, I think it will be fun," said Burton.
For those involved behind the scenes this is a day they’ve been waiting for.
"It’s a sense of accomplishment," said Builder Bob Camp. "It’s proud to build something like this. It’s great to build something like this. The Sparks family has been great to work with."
"It feels great. I’m glad to see everyone is here," said Owner Bob Sparks. "We’re getting a ton of compliments on the TV’s. It’s wonderful."
"It’s nothing but a big smile on the faces. The staff has worked so hard the last two weeks to prepare for this," said General Manager Matt Antonetz. "It’s a wonderful day for the Sparks family. The investment that they’ve made. It’s just a very exciting time for everybody."
Those that missed out on free wings didn’t go home empty handed. They received a coupon for 6 free wings.
