Genesis Honors Volunteers

There were about 300 people at the Wild West themed banquet held at the North Terrace Church of Christ Thursday night. The hospital honored all of the volunteers as a group and also recognized volunteers who have reached specific milestones
"We as volunteers, volunteer in every aspect of Genesis Hospitals, both campuses and at the pavilion. I am serving as President of Volunteers and tonight the staff is honoring us as volunteers. They do it once a year at the banquet," said volunteer, Bill Porter.
Among the milestone recipients are Dorbie Littick, who has volunteered 60-years of service to Genesis Hospital and Phyllis Byers and Patricia Riley who have both been volunteers for 25-years.
"Our volunteers are an integral part of our healthcare system and we really wouldn’t be able to operate without them. Collectively they donate tens of thousands of hours of service every year," said Executive Director, Paul McClelland.
