Fieldhouse Foundation Kicks Off Corporate Cup

The Fieldhouse Foundation kicked off their brand new event Tuesday evening.
The Corporate Cup is a way for area companies to take part in good exercise, build camaraderie and donate money to a great cause. We spoke to Alainna Durfee, Director of Corporate Marketing and Wellness who told us they are doing it for the children the organization helps.
“It’s fighting for a healthier lifestyle but in ulterior ways. Our foundation, we have adaptive children so we have some children that are amputees, some children that are cancer survivors, but each child is different. They have their own strengths. So what we did is we decided to make this about them, this is all about trying to raise money and awareness for what we do. So with the corporate games, we have adaptive sports.”
Durfee says its a way to lose weight and have fun. Tonight was all about tug-of-war. The game was played with both hands the first round, and the second round with only one hand. Durfee says it is all about helping people to understand what their organization is about. Durfee says any money they raise for their organization will be appreciated.
“If we raise a dollar, I’ll be ecstatic because all that goes directly back to the kids that we service. Just tonight in the foundation, we had six kids in tonight they are apart of our foundation so if we raise a dollar I’m ecstatic.”
Century National Bank, Red Lobster and East Muskingum Schools all took part in the event Tuesday. There are still team openings, so if your company would be interested in taking part, you can call Alainna Durfee at the number: (740)454-4224
